Mark is an accomplished and energetic investment and financial services professional focused primarily on delivering outcomes through the marriage of investment, strategy, innovation and social/ environmental need.
Advice foundations have been laid in senior executive roles with reputable Australian life offices, investment and retail banks, fund managers and tier one contracting firms, as well as consultancy to government. Sector experience has extended primarily across financial services, real estate (construction, development, investment) and infrastructure (social, economic, green). Sample projects include the development of an entire governance framework for a renewable energy company, and the analysis of renewal, optimisation and funding options for public housing portfolios.
Until recently Mark was the CEO of the Fiji Development Bank, delivering a significant transformation agenda as well as focusing on un(der)banked business segments (particularly in rural and remote areas) and green/climate projects and banking products. He has continued his work in the Pacific via advice on renewable energy and microfinance projects.
Additionally, Mark’s Board/representative roles have extended across education, community housing, disability and employment services and youth development. Other supervisory roles have included acquisitions due diligence, risk management, investment committee and PPP assessment panel membership.
Mark possesses formal finance, governance and quantitative/ actuarial qualifications and professional memberships.
