To date, little analysis had been undertaken regarding the key factors driving the important influence of resource sector companies on development-related issues in developing countries, or in relation to the opportunities for companies to positively contribute to solving local development challenges. The Foundation for Development Cooperation and the Australian Strategic Policy Institute in association with PricewaterhouseCoopers collaborated on the preparation of this discussion paper.
