Boosting Traditional Approaches to Food Security in PNG, 2013
AusAID commissioned The Foundation for Development Cooperation to prepare a report on boosting traditional approaches to food Security in Papua New Guinea.
The primary objective of the project is to improve the uptake of approaches that contribute to the stability of food access by buffering vulnerable subsistence and cash-earning activities against climate variability and change.
The secondary objective is to demonstrate to the Milne Bay Provincial Administration and the PNG National Government that improvements in food security in subsistence communities do not need to correspond to a proportional increase in environmental degradation.
