Annmaree O’Keeffe has extensive experience in international relations and development and has worked in Asia, Africa and the Pacific in various roles including as Australia’s ambassador to Nepal, head of AusAID’s program in Papua New Guinea, Australia’s first ambassador for HIV/AIDS and Deputy Director-General of AusAID.
Since leaving AusAID in 2009, she has been attached to the Lowy Institute for International Policy in Sydney and has been on a number of boards including as chair of Australia’s national commission for UNESCO and founding director of the Asia Pacific Business Coalition for AIDS.
